The Chalets

For those seeking a little more privacy and space our chalets have all the ingredients for a romantic retreat. Featuring open stone fireplaces, reclaimed timber and spectacular views. The chalets blend colonial New Zealand architecture with modern lodge comforts. Chalet Suites may be combined with a living room to create our larger Chalet Staterooms. For two couples travelling together combine the Chalet Stateroom and the second adjoining Chalet Suite.

You’ll find cosy corners by stone fireplaces, amazing views and fine dining at the award winning restaurant.Choose from naturally inspired rooms or larger suites finished in polished wood and fine fabrics, our blanket bay lodge rooms offer sweeping views across lake wakatipu towards the greenstone valley and surrounding peaks

The lakeside Lodge rooms each feature their own balcony or terrace, super-kingsize bed, sitting area and armoire. The ensuite bathrooms are appointed with granite topped double vanities, separate shower and bathtub.

The Villa

Completed in December 2017, this multiple award winning architecturally designed masterpiece adds an impressive fully serviced Villa option to Blanket Bay. Positioned above the Lodge and Chalets, the Villa reveals spectacular views across Lake Wakatipu to the Humboldt and Thomson mountain ranges.Four king suites comprising bedroom, bathroom and sitting area feature individual fireplaces with shared spaces centered around the grand lounge, bar and commercial kitchen, outdoor lounge areas with fire pit and hot tubs.

Resting within sympathetic landscape design the Villa’s thousand square meters is designed to optimise both morning and afternoon sun, with many private terraces and dining options to choose from. Personal helpers are accommodated in the security suite, ensuring seamless service for Villa guests.
