YOUR ARRIVAL

Blanket Bay is situated a fairly short and stunningly scenic drive from Queenstown. It takes approximately 45 minutes to drive around the lake, but you may want to allow extra time to stop and admire the breathtaking scenery along the way. Blanket Bay also has a private onsite helipad, making it easy to arrive in style. A direct flight from Queenstown Airport takes just 10 minutes. We highly recommend extending your flight to take in some of the world-famous sights on the route.

Wilderness Tours

Blanket Bay Lodge provides unique wilderness adventures that blend luxury and exploration. Guests can join the Wilderness Jet-Boat Safari, venturing deep into Mt Aspiring National Park while learning about its history and Māori tales from expert guides. Afterward, a scenic walk through ancient beech forests, which appeared in The Lord of the Rings, awaits. Families can enjoy the Funyaks adventure, which combines thrilling jet boating with a relaxing float downstream in inflatable kayaks, discovering secluded waters and streams.
