Conservation & Biodiversity

Minaret Station is deeply committed to conservation, protecting six threatened bird species and sixteen endangered plants through ongoing habitat restoration and a robust predator control program. Guests can support these efforts by sponsoring individual traps or joining native tree planting initiatives. Powered by hydroelectricity from a nearby waterfall and supplied with pure snowmelt water, the station operates using a renewable energy source. All waste is carefully removed from the property to minimise impact. Minaret allows guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of New Zealand while actively contributing to its preservation.
