Showcasing locally sourced ingredients—from the pristine waters of the Bay of Islands to nearby orchards and farms—the menu reflects a fresh, creative New Zealand take on fine dining. YOUR ARRIVAL

Paroa Bay, approximately 15 minutes drive from Russell, is accessible by car, boat, or helicopter with scenic flights offering breathtaking views over the Bay of Islands before landing at the estate’s private helipad. Alternatively, take the passenger ferry from Paihia to Russell, where a pre-arranged shuttle can collect you from the wharf and bring you to the estate. The property is approximately 4 hours drive from Auckland and the closest airport is Kerikeri, just a 50-minute flight from Auckland.

Paroa Bay Winery

Paroa Bay Winery employs traditional viticulture techniques that listen to the land with dry-grown vines, aiming to produce distinctive handcrafted wines that emulate the white clay soils and warm climate of the Bay of Islands. Chardonnay is a major focus, with over one-third of the vineyard dedicated to this wine variety. The winery also produces pinot gris, sauvignon blanc, syrah and other red blends. The winery was established in 2006 with a desire to create the best quality wine in Northland while supporting its environment and people. Paroa Bay Wines are all grown, handpicked, made & bottled onsite.

Paroa Bay Winery & Estate is set on 6,500 acres in the Bay of Islands, a renowned subtropical region on New Zealand’s North Island. This area is known for its stunning coastal landscapes, rich history, and diverse marine life. The estate overlooks Paroa Bay, a sheltered inlet surrounded by rolling hills and native bush. The wider Bay of Islands area encompasses 144 islands, offering pristine beaches, secluded coves, and clear turquoise waters ideal for boating, fishing, and diving.
