The Craigieburn Valley is found on the Great Alpine Highway 73, just one and a half hours from Christchurch International Airport and 25 minutes from Arthur’s Pass. It is located between the small alpine village at Castle Hill and the township of Cass. The TranzAlpine Rail journey traverses this country following the Waimakiriri River which laces the foothills of the Southern Alps.
